Fox Farm Flowers is an artisan flower farm based in South Yorkshire, near Sheffield. We have been growing since 2020, and have sustainability at the heart of our business. This means we work with seasonal flowers, and avoid pesticides, artificial fertilisers, peat based compost and floral foam. We aim for a product that can go from our garden, to your home, and then back to the compost heap. A circular, zero waste business that enhances the environment.
Why is this important? British grown flowers have only 10% the carbon footprint of imported flowers. Imported flowers are also often bred to be fragrance free, and have been found to contain a cocktail of pesticides, fungicides and growth regulators.
Here at Fox Farm Flowers we grow in no-dig beds to help the soil become healthy and naturally sequester carbon. We use compost from our livery stables so we can avoid ever using peat, and use biochar and regenerative growing practices to help improve our soil. We also leave some flowers for our pollinators and insects to enjoy, so by buying local you help support a wonderful local patch for wildlife.
All our deliveries are carried out in 'Sparky' our electric Nissan Leaf which is usually powered by wind and solar energy. All our wraps and packaging are home compostable, including the cellophane.
